Wouldnt you agree that it is the norm for the fanatic minority ? And if so where are the protests from leaders of the peaceful majority ? Good question. You should try to figure that one out because its important. <Why you can't see that this military flexing encourages the people of the ME to hate Israel and the US is beyond me.> The hate has been there long before any military flexing. You point out the death and destruction to Lebanon with much disdain and yet Iran/Syria/Pal's point to it and cry victory and preach more violence. They cry victory because for the first time in 60 years the Arabs were able to stop the Israelis. While you might think its an over reaction and inappropriate, I believe the outcome of this war to be an important warning to Israel. The status quo has changed........Israel needs to pay attention. <I have never met a group of people so out of touch with how the human mind thinks.> I agree with you. Why do you think they continue the violence instead of sitting down and making peace with the world ? Imagine the benfit of directing their energies to creating life and peace instead of using infants and their baby bottles to blow planes out of the sky. Israel is sitting on their land. If someone was sitting on your land and not allowing you to use it, would you make peace with your squatter? Why hasnt the Lebanese goverment disarmed Hezbollah ? Why not take advantage of the cease fire and create peace instead of prolonging the inevitable conflict ? Uh.....Israel's airforce, navy and army couldn't stop Hezbollah. What makes you think the puny Lebanese army [no airforce; no navy] could do any better?
