In the late 1980s, after conducting extensive research, Louis Pascal came to a startling conclusion: ground zero for the initial onset of the AIDs epidemic and ground zero for the greatest concentration of cases at that time, was in Central Africa, the same regions in which an experimental oral polio vacine had been administered to Africans. His research was ignored, and journals such as Nature and Science (as is their custom) refused to publish his work. In 1992, Tom Curtis wrote an article which appeared in Rolling Stone, and more recently a book by Edward Hooper, "The Dark River" have both added fuel to the fire: The evidence indicates that a Jewish scientist, Hilary Koprowski, in growing his experimental polio vacine, had used monkey kidney tissue infected with an AIDs-related virus, SV40. And, the vacine was administered to over 300,000 Africans living in Central Africa, an area which, as noted, appears to be ground zero for the epidemic as the earliest caes of the virus are traced to to this region. It is estimated that over 22 million people have died from AIDs and that 57 million people have become infected with the AIDs virus.
