Not Capone himself but many of his gang members would travel down to Havana, Illinois area to hunt ducks and gamble. They would spend so much cash on a weekend one tavern put in a safe for them. They also bought ducks from local poachers. Shipped so many ducks to Chicago the rail put in a spur for them.

Around Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years the guys would pass out oven ready ducks to the people in their territory. Having meat for the Holidays won a lot of support.
