OK.

I was thinking of the posters here, but Lind's writing really started this part of the discussion.

At the very least Lind seems to argue that it is the "death of libertarianism's opportunity".

I agree, with you it silly to say that the rejection of "social security privatization" signifies the death of libertarianism. Or even a major change its its power or opportunity.

Even if it was a near 100% libertarian motivated idea (and as you point out it wasn't) one loss wouldn't signify the death of the idea.
