<<So in your world the issue of who initiates and perpetuates the conflict is a non issue. >

Never said that.

Sure you did. By claiming the Israelis were killing civilians and the poor Lebanese civilians are left homeless, you take the stance that there are zero consequences for allowing hezbo to hide behind the Lebanese civilians and shoot rockets into Israel.

That's not what I said. What I said was that given the initial transgression of kidnapping two soldiers, Israel's reaction was an over reaction.

Your stance : <Lebanese civilians were handed their lunches.>

Mine : Lebanon got hit.

Hezbo/Iran/Pal : Israel can be taken out and is weak... very clear that even though Lebanese infrastructure was decimated and Lebanese civilians were used as Hezbo shields WE WON !

Maybe in your world but in the world inhabited by myself and the Israelis, at best it was a draw and since Hezbollah was expected to lose big, some are saying they actually won.

My take: no one wins when a country rains down the kind of destruction that Israel did to Lebanon.

As for the court of public opinion:

Israel lost badly on a number of fronts.
