We can talk about supply and demand all we want. We can debate peak oil or no peak oil. Has anyone thought about what the world would be like if oil drops to, say, $45?

Would the house of Saud be overthrown?

Would $45 oil make Chavez more or less powerful?

What is going to happen to struggling economies such as Indonesia, Nigeria?

"The fact is that those fighting for freedom and independence in Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan are, whether they know it or not, standing between the bankers who hold America’s debt and the Iranian oil and gas that they need to underwrite it. It is not too late to turn back, but somehow I doubt that we will. Some bright spark will deal with yet another failure by initiating a bigger one, Steven Spielberg will make another maudlin movie, and more people will die to the tune of a lousy soundtrack."http://www.sandersresearch.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=921&Itemid=67
