Rat, I watched a good part of the first half. The funniest thing to me is how stunned some are that Alex Smith can walk and chew gum at the same time. Geez, he was a 20-year-old rookie last year with no line, no receivers, no offensive coordinator, and overblown expectations. I think he's going to be good. Larry Allen sure does wonders for the line. Even recognizing how much these guys like playing, why does Newberry keep coming back? He's going to end up like Jim Otto if he's not careful.
