no actually I thought it was the complete and total inability to think outside their little boxes of the overpaid underworked people in detroit. In order to compete you have to accept that someone else might have a good idea. Detroit failed miserably starting with the Volkswagen, and with every competitor since. Most people are not fools. I look around my neighborhood, at the fullsized American pickups which most farmers drive (and write off in a single year) and you will understand why Detroit is currently in a bind. It was great while it lasted. Look at the sales numbers recently released for last month. The big three in steep pickup/SUV decline, while the Japs pickup share. Dah! If you want to look for a fool, look at the office of the VP. Cheney with his invade Iraq so we can get $28/barrel oil. Thats what you call a miscalculation.
