Not only a book but a movie too. A love story, no doubt.

With evil villians who seek to prevent a devoted husband from fulfilling his promise (okay, there wasn't any promise) to starve his wife to death should she suffer brain damage.

Not only will he make some money, he'll get to inflict a little more suffering on his wife's family.
