Hi SARMAN; Re: "Hezbo is moving faster than the US government moved after Katrina. BUSH cares about the American people. What a joke, he should be fired or impeached. Get rid of the IDIOT."

If the US government handed out cash as fast as Hezbollah is they'd be in jail the next day.

It's kind of disgusting. The underlying basis for the US government is "fairness", which is a concept defined by a very large number of lawyers. The underlying basis for Hezbollah's handing out money is probably "responsibility", which is a concept defined by a very large number of young men with guns.

In short, cheating the US government may be a bit more difficult than cheating Hezbollah, but it's much more survivable.

Exactly. This is a war of PR much more than armaments but the ONLY thing that Israel/Bushies can do is kill-kill-kill and destroy things.

It's amazing that they hit Beirut which likes to think of itself as a cosmopolitan fun-filled city. I did hear that, at least at the beginning, Israel only hit the poor sections....imagine that.

There's all this rightwing yammering about how backward and regressive the ME is except for Israel. Here, however, is a forward thinking, forward looking city and they try and reduce at least parts of it to rubble. What does that mean in PR terms?

The rightwing Neocon Israeli and US governments need very big shovels to continue to dig themselves deeper into the hole they've sunk into.

Perhaps New Orleans could contract with Hezbollah? Most of it is STILL in ruins, a year later.
