Bushies are paying fewer taxes --- personal, corporate, investment income - while gaining more from high oil and armament prices. In the meantime, I think two things are coming up soon: 1. Afghanistan will be considered LOST 2. Iraq will be considered LOST These realities will seep into the public consciousness along with the understanding that: 1. The USA has no more ready troops to deploy --- draft anyone? I didn't think so. 2. The USA has to come up with some $20billion + just to rearm to the level of pre-Iraq invasion. 3. Muslims around the world are taking the threat to THEIR religion seriously. This is after years of Muslim-bashing and outright bigotry displayed by the likes of Bush, Blair and Israel. This kind of really bad PR also seeps into the public consciousness and is very hard to repair and, coupled with our military presence in the ME, makes Americans at home and abroad much more vulnerable. 4. The sticky mess of Iran, strengthened by Iraq and Lebanon and oil money, will not be 'fixed' by aerial bombing. Nukes anyone? Maybe.
