<I was on my bike and said "well, duh!">

Kirk,

I heard Bob issue a warning yesterday about listening to the show while riding a bike.

Do you think that you are being surveilled? ;-)

BTW, over at UTEK I posted a link to a rather interesting Bernanke speech relative to energy and inflation. It gives further credence to the fact that Bob has it totally wrong.

<<The big jump in oil was in the last two years...the same two years we've had an unprecidented 17 straight increases in the Fed Funds rate! duh Bob... if the Fed had NOT raised rates, then we would have had higher inflation due to higher oil prices. Thus they had to take a counter measure to offset the inflationary effect of higher oil prices.>>

--Oh, NOW I get it! High oil prices cause inflation, so the fed simply hiked rates while oil was going through the roof and, VIOLA! no (or very mild) inflation!

Thanks kirk. I didn't realize things were so simple!
