I know, my grandson in VA had a tick and also my other grandson here in GA....A lake is the perfect place for ticks..that's why my concern.

They are lucky. A guy caught Lymes last year and it wasn't diagnosed as there hadn't been any in the area. When it was finally diagnosed it was far enough along that he had to spend several months with an IV drip twice a day. Guy's dog also came down with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, another first for the county.
