I agree women and children are frequently victimized in divorces. Though I'm not sure which sex more commonly initiates divorce proceedings. It's possible for one partner who wants a divorce to goad the other into filing.

I think the whole issue of divorce when children are involved should be re-examined.

Personally, I ended my first marriage by divorce - we had no children in that marriage. It was the realization that it would be a tragic mistake for my first wife to raise children (especially mine) that galvanized the decision.
