yet you somehow think it's perfectly ok for the US to do exactly the same thing.

Y'know something.. If Syria and Iran were "meddling" in the affairs of other countries in order to facilitate the creation of a honest and fair democratic system of government for them, I wouldn't have any problems.

But that's not what they're doing, now is it? They are arming fanatical militias for the purpose fighting a proxy war against their geo-political rivals, the US and Israel.

Maybe you should ask yourself why you think it's perfectly okay for other countries to "meddle" in order to create ILLEGITIMATE AND DESPOTIC TOTALITARIAN REGIMES?

And then ask yourself why it's perfectly okay not to try and oppose THEIR MEDDLING?

What is this obsession you have about bestowing your blessing upon the "meddling" of these other NON-DEMOCRATIC REGIMES, but constantly B*TCH when the US is trying to COUNTER THEIR ACTIVITIES??

REALISTS UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS NO LAW IN THESE COUNTRIES, EXCEPT THAT OF WHO HAS THE MOST GUNS AND THE FORCE OF WILL TO USE THEM TO TERRORIZE OTHERS!!

When you are going to get it through your head that the rest of the under-developed world, and especially Somalia, more closely resembles "Elm Street" than Mayberry, USA?

People rule by sheer brute force and intimidation in these societies. And it takes sheer brute force and COUNTER-INTIMIDATION AGAINST THESE WARLORDS in order to create the conditions of social order upon which democratic reforms can take root.

And yeah.. if we're just supporting dictators to further non-democratic goals, then I'd be right there criticizing US policy with you. But if we're attempting to arm people to fight against tyrants and religious fanatics so they can defend themselves, is that "meddling", or merely evening the playing field?

Your priorities are to leave people defenseless in the face of totalitarian aggression and subject them to years of oppression and/or exile (at least for those who survive).

Why don't you just tell us all that you don't really give a rat's @ss about helping these people defend themselves.

Just come out and admit that you'd put you on the verge of orgasm if everyone were living in their own little Taliban wonderland.
