Oil is the opiate of the asses? Remember back in the 60s when every saudi citizen seemed to get a guaranteed stipend equal or above what the american middle class got. A welfare state was created for the indigent while workers were imported not only for scut work. And then all the apare cash goes to islamic crazies to buy them off. Its a nightmare created by a mix of feudalism and oil. Price of oil must be driven down soon, if we are to gain any leverage with these folks and the iranians too.
