That barringer post is a perfect example of that which is ignorant of long term thinking and science and what is proposed by creationism.

And to think I knew you had that in you.

Barringer

You are placing faith in a theory. I am placing faith in God. While I tend to believe mine is proven, yours will never be proven.

You place faith in the idea that a giant bang occurred and the Universe sprung into existence. Then, some atoms got together and formed mass, which then managed to differentiate itself into living versus non-living, plants vs animals, rock vs, mineral, vs soil, etc. Then one day some of these managed to change into a living cell. It evolved from there into the most inexplicable, intricate, indecipherable series of cells and structures that we have ever encountered. All naturally. All against other laws of nature which would seem to say that things should fall apart, not come together.

I place faith in a God who made us in his own image. He said let there be light and there was. There was probably a loud bang at this time, so maybe our theories are close to each other. Both allow something came from where there was nothing before.

I find one as fantastic as the other. It is not ignorance. I am a graduate of a engineering college, I understand physical science. I find it too hard to believe when taken back all the way to the origin of everything, that a cosmic bang created all we know.
