I agree, and air war isn't going to do it.

Even a ground war wouldn't easily totally destroy Hezbollah, however it could have had a far more serious effect on Hezbollah, esp. if it was executed well. Instead almost the entire war was just from the air, and the ground war starts just before the whole war stops. Also Israel was making public statements about its future actions before performing the actions. Telegraphic your punches doesn't help in a fight.

That was part. Plus he gave his commanders an impossible mission. Destroying Hezbollah once and for all just wasn't a possibility. Especially if it was to be restricted to an air war as it was for the first few weeks.


Plus, one general was busy selling his stocks. Few can run an army successfuly while selling stocks on a laptop.
