Reagan supplied arms to Iran through Ollie North. Reagan coddled the Ayatollah and withdraw from Lebanon. Bush Sr. never did anything about Iran. Cheney at Halliburton illegally dealt with Iran through an offshore subsidary. GW Bush actually got Iran on our side after 9-11 for a short time before he delivered his oh-so-stupid and costly Axix Of Evil speech which set back iranian progressives 30 years. Now we're back to the Ayatollah type days, and Bush has made Iran much stronger and more fearsome than it's ever been. We really had no military options to deal with them either.
