Except many people already own a big portion of that much music in CD form. I have 40GB of data that I own and have not spent a dime at iTMS. And it's not even ripped at a very high bit rate. If I re-ripped at lossless I'd have way more than 60GB.

I was just about to say the same thing. But I have actually downloaded a few hundred Itunes, thanks to the earlier Pepsi campaign and the "tilt".

Exactly.

I have ripped most of my 60GB iPod's capacity at either very high bitrates or lossless, all from CDs I own.

I have a few tunes I've downloaded, most legally and a few illegally because I couldn't find them on the iTMS.
