I'm not one to accept the ignorant notion that America's founding fathers are somehow pillars of Christian virtue and example.
Most of them were Deists and Masons. They were not Orthodox Christians. I look to Orthodox Saints as models of piety and virtue, not Ben Franklin, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.
The Holy Orthodox Church (the only true Church of Christ), has explicitly condemned Freemasonry as early as even nearly two centuries ago and obviously does not preach Deism, rather She preaches Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, in accordance with the Nicene Creed and the Seven Holy Ecumenical Councils.

Let every one understand by this how serious an anathema is, and why no one in his right mind would place himself under anathema, either by Freemasonry, or the Papal Calendar, or Ecumenism, and these three are one! The Faith of the Masonic Lodge is Ecumenism. The Papal Calendar was introduced by the Masonic Patriarchs of Constantinople, who have all been Freemasons since Meletios Metaxakis, because the Turkish Government and Army, set up by Attaturk, is absolutely Masonic, and they must approve any candidate for Patriarch. From this source, Freemasonry, Ecumenism, and the Papal Calendar have invaded The Orthodox Church, and every other kind of religion. This is why, as the Gospel tells us again, and again, very few will be saved, and only those who go by the strait and narrow. This is the reality of today.
