HI....Can't say that I'm new to EW, either......I go back to 1980 with it..(but have dropped it in disgust several times over the years)....LOL Elliott, Frost, and Prechter seem to think it does not apply to stocks, so who am I to question a dictum of the Holy Trinity...although I do occasionally fall from grace and dabble a bit with EW in stocks... Even looked at AAPL.....and what you label a 5 up early this year, I have cheerfully marked as a 3, and have us now travelling in 4..
