If nothing else an israeli peace offensive should guarantee holding american public opinion which can become their achilles heel as cnn/bbc fever spreads. The next Broker for peace should be a Muslim. Nasrallah could make peace for Lebanon, and then broker peace in Palestine. But he would have to have some concern for the Muslims who will be killed in the next war to do that. If it were up to me I would call for an absolute ceasefire for 1 year with the return of 100 prisoners for each Israeli prisoner, and then the beginning of negotiations for the return of any other prisoners held, and any occupied lands.
