re: Did they really think that an indigenous resistance could actually be defeated? I'm sure they did. And I don't think they ever looked at the worst case scenarios. It appears they are looking at them now, way too late as that looks like how it is going to play out. The worst part is their 'little mistake' has cost Lebanon the lives of 1000 people and billions of dollars of damage. Its amazing to me how careless and unempathetic these assholes are..........and what even amazes me more is why Americans are not on the streets en masse protesting this gov't?
