KIS -

Yes, the Big Suit may have been inspired by Noh theatre and its outsized costumes, but it was nonetheless an original interpretation.

But when speaking of their originality, I was talking about their music.

OT the "big suit" was ripped off from japanese "No" theatre, according to byrne.

A more articulate observer might discribe Byrne's references to Japanese culture as a recontexturalization of a classic theme.

There is nothing wrong with orignal reinterpretation. If it is well thought out it can be revealing and clever.
