A narrow focus of cause and effect attribution, whether it is an anthropomorphic type of creator or the limited view of classical materialists, does not satisfy the need to learn of the vast and rich wonder and mystery that comes with our experience. If you wish to recognise a supreme being, then yes, you must also include the complexities of life's challenges including suffering and death ... and any other ideas under an umbrella of alpha and omega. If you don't wish to recognise an omnipresent supreme being, you have not clarified your explanation of existence; you have merely put limits on it... limits that by themselves are paradoxical and self contradictory. If you simply enjoy dismissing the world view other people with trite references to scientific theory because it might make you seem intelligent or them look dumb, you are mistaken.
