The key Bushie lie is that democrats are "weak on defense" or even worse "traitors" or "good for terrorism". Actually Kerry or Gore would have been far more effective than Bush on counter-terrorism. One of the main reasons Bush is so weak on it is his huge amounts of conflicts of interest, being bought and paid for by big oil and other industry groups.
