Now tell me why it was actually all the fault of the muddleheaded lefties anyway. I'm sure that's the next post. I did not see a smiley face. A little defensive my left winged friend? I merely posed the question to see what my erudite moderator would say. ;-) My opinion? Well, many actions and events have occurred since the 60's or 70's to bring this about. Ask ten people and one will get ten different reasons why. My best guess is that the moral decay of the USA has played a significant role. It is feels good; or sounds good, do it. There is little or no personal accountability for behavior any more. Everyone is a victim. Too many parents tend to cop out. To many teachers hide behind their union. Recent example, personally told to me by a teacher, was that a teacher cannot tell a student they failed. "Failed" is simply too strong a word and will destroy a student's confidence. As far as the political side goes. Yes, I assign more blame to the democrats. However, the republicans cannot skate on this topic. They deserve blame as well. I would probably go 60-40. Sorry, didn't really intend to get into this dumbing down issue since it is like global warming. Everyone wring your hands, feel bad and blame somebody or something. Off topic - I note that you are still doing your poll thing. Anxious for November? LOL
