Swampdog: leverage is leverage is leverage! Even if there is only 1 day left the leverage is what it is. I once had wts that were going to expire in 1 week out of the money and were worth only .04, so I sold them for a pitence. They hit a drill hole that next week and the stock shot up deep into the money and the wts become with $1. That one really hurt-lol. Delta is a concept that has to be seen in relation to all the other variables affecting the stock. What is simplistic is calculating delta in a vacuum-lol.
