So will Fox News finally stop calling Iraq the "War On Terror"?

The military operations in Iraq have evolved through several stages from the initial goal of defeating Saddam's Regime to combating foreign Al-Quaida groups and Iraqi insurgent forces. Now we are bogged down as the National government struggles to build its own security forces that can maintain a cohesive national government.

The operations in Iraq have never been THE war on terror. It has been a definite front for terrorist conflict however. Even Zawahiri (#2 commander of Al-Qaida) recognized that when he directed terrorists to leave Iraq so that they could target Americans more directly.
