Closed at $3.04, how about that!

Thanks again for the birthday wishes, for
some reason 40 seems worth noting with
half your life behind and ahead.

I placed around 7th out of 40 players--
just a couple spots out of the money
(not that there was much money to be
won--but this particular game has
rather good players--that was better
than I deserved to do).

Made several mistakes however--called a
hand with a lousy Q-9 offsuit--but it ended
in a chopped pot, got lucky. Overbet once
when I had the winning hand, could have snagged
a few more chips on that one. Folded once when
I could have called cheap.

Poker is a great game, even mediocre players
like myself can have a lot of fun in these
cheap holdem games--not a single woman was
playing today, so that is a little lame. Playing
poker in the middle of the day is pretty lame too,
ha!

I thought maybe it was my day to win when I splashed
three chips--they all went vertical, rolled across
the table, and one went down the money slot. I
think I won that hand too!

So, what did the market do today that was important--
besides this being my break-even day on dpii <g>
