CNN makes a business of reporting tragedies, and claims to be an accurate reporter. However, CNN slants the news, using it as a weapon to achieve it's goals. CNN seldom asks the hard questions, of the people to whom it favours. It reported extensively on how protected the Israelis were, and how the rockets had no chance to hurt Israelis except in the case of people who got stuck outside. But they never asked where the shelters were for the Lebanese. They never asked why the lebanese were constantly hiding in cellars of houses that collapsed. Israelis prepare space for everyone, and everyone gathers in the shelters. Since it is not that long ago that Lebanon was destroyed and rebuilt, Who exactly was the optimist that thought they didn't need bomb shelters? But I digress, in several short segments news reporters said that they were only allowed to show what Hizbollah allowed them to show, and that each shot was carefully scripted, why was this propaganda broadcast as news instead of as political posturing? Why allow Hizbollah to direct a show of Ambulances rushing off, when in fact they were going down to the corner, and coming back for another take? Why broadcast figures that were wildly inaccurate, in favour of the image Hizbollah wants to show? Israel needs to move towards an agreement with CNN that as long as Hizbollah is allowed to manipulate the news, Israel will be allowed without comment from CNN, to do the same.
