Germany doesn't make cheap textiles, they make all kinds of machinery and chemicals - one of the top export economies in the world, if I recall correctly.

Good point... that is why the U.S. has been losing wealth for over 40 years.... NEWS Flash.... Money knew this back in 1960 and found ways to preserve the wealth.... that's Democracy combined with Capitalism.... Unfortunataly... we are pushing it and we have to change in the next 10 years.... It does not mean cutting social security.... (talk about a revolution in the U.S..... sign me up.) but a ethics, integrity and of course lobbying reform.
