Ramsey, Russ, CR, others,
I'm still not clear on a very important issue: how much risk is retained by a mortgage originator on mortgages it has sold. Some sources say 100% of risk is offloaded, but today's H&R announcement shows that this is not true. Probably each sale has its own conditions, but I'd like to know what the common rules are.
