Just so everyone knows, In Canada the Republican's are called Conservatives, and the Democrats are called Liberals. Presently the Conservatives are in power.....

on fundraising

The Liberals raised just $1.3 million from about 6,500 contributors in the first quarter of this year. The ruling Conservatives raised almost five times as much from nearly five times as many donors — $5.6 million from 37,000 contributors.

<Our soldiers are subject to prosecution if they violate the law.>

No they are not. No Iraqi can arrest an American soldier for violating Iraqi law, and no American soldier will ever be tried for crimes in an Iraqi court. We set ourselves above and beyond their laws. If on the other hand an Iraqi is in the US, they can be arrested and tried by Americans and will be judged in an American court. We set ourselves up as the conquering power and refuse to submit to the justice system of the conquered nation of Iraq.
