Because Democrats are beholden to the unions for their unwavering support. That unwavering support is really rather funny because I saw some stats somewhere a few years ago showing that R's voted for union issues more then the D's almost 65% of the time.

And you don't see too many grumpy Walmart employees, either.

Depends on the individual store manager, though. I wrote a complaint to one Walmart, got a response and saw results the next time I went in.
