Doesn't surprise me

I remember sending jackass an email when he canned Stone.

They've always needed a dollars and sense tech savvy CEO (and they've always made sure any Schmidt/Stone type had his wings well clipped) The money boys behind Novell will never surrender control over the honeypot to any outsider.

You could do a very funny sketch around the theme of ex-execs at Novell and where they are now. Do you remember the Marketing VP that brought the senior PGA to Salt Lake and was gone from Novell in about a year with a 2 million dollar golden parachute.

The company is a joke but its not a joke for the stockholders who have been raped pillaged and plundered by corporate management at Novell for decades.

Ubuntu: Well it's only a matter of time before one of the Linux distros figures out that usability is the key. It's getting close:

Is Ubuntu Linux for You, Too?

wired.com

I'm like the Mac guy in the story. I like Macs but sooner or later they are going to become intrusive. I hate DRM. And I'm going into the music production business!!! I have PCs. Hate Microsoft. Still on W2000. XP sucks. Vista is going to suck worse.

My beef with Linux when I last installed it is half way through the install process there was an option I didn't understand. There was no explanation or any means by which I could figure out the correct config. It was the scratch disk. It didn't tell which was which. Of course I picked the wrong one so i had a tiny partition for the OS and a giant scratch disk. Bummer. A couple of hours of work down the drain for the lack of 2 sentences.

The other weird thing was my zip drive was located several directories down instead of on the desktop. Weird. I personally don't understand why the did that one.

If Ubuntu gets it right they will have an avalanch of money. Or at least some one will.

I'm waiting. Take my money someone. Anyone?

I find it hard to believe that anyone would invest in this dog after the way they've thrown away all their assets.
