Those who have the 17 inch PB G4s are not affected by the battery issue.

Allen,

The scale of the battery recall tells me the problem was constant and severe enough that QC at Sony, and Apple & Dell, should've picked it up. We're talking close to 6 million batteries. How many did Sony make of that type? Did Sony make a similar recall for their laptops?
