I guess I disagree. I don't see it as particularly laudable that a candidate for political reasons decides to tell a truth that would likely come out anyway. Even less so because it is a basically irrelevant personal revelation.

Now if he is willing to speak the truth about how this country is being run or about the reality of policy consequences, that I think is more laudable.
