Can God save them ? What do you think ?

I think that all "drugs" are not created equal.

I have seen neighbors, acquaintances and several waitresses at my billiards club wreck their health and their lives with meth. I also have dozens of friends who have careers, who love and support their families and are otherwise model citizens, but who like recreational weed, even into their 50s and 60s.

The War on Drugs dishonestly tries to equate the two, and in doing so, shows that it is not a serious project. (As for the argument that dope is a "gateway drug", any addict will tell you that that honor is reserved for the omnipresently legal alcohol).

But the worst thing the WOD does is gives us a war model for solving a problem that can only be addressed successfully on the medical/treatment level.

Long story short, yes I do believe we can save them, but we'll first have to find the courage to admit that our present attempts are not working.
