I remember the old republicans fondly, a nice group of codgers making sure everything was running right and that we weren't spending beyond our means. They provided a nice balance. In Shorty's world, anyone who doesn't track 100% is a liberal. Its not just that.....they've changed the whole political spectrum so that it centers on them. Hence, Kennedy is an ultra communist. Kerry is a socialist. Bush and Hitler are center or just right of center......which leaves the far right vacant. Not only are they rewriting the laws of nature, but they are rewriting all the laws period. Isn't that what a hitler does? The irony of all this is that their best pal.......Israel......is the only place in the world where true communism is practiced.....on the kibbutzim. Adding to that irony......its the kibbutzim that Israel turns to when they want big guys to fight their wars. And the punishment for that sin is infinite. Of course.....its the loss of freedoms. If you can't stay on top of the new laws, you don't to be free. In addition, history and reality is infinitely malleable to fit idealogy, we are talking about someone who truly believes that the isolationists between the world wars were liberals. Oh yeah, changing your mind in the face of evidence to the contrary is sign of a weak mind, instead of the opposite. Yup. Its that whole realignment of the political spectrum again.
