***************************************

Dear Fans and Friends of the Revolution,

Although we have enjoyed much success playing for all of you and will
always be grateful for your support, we have struggled over 8 years to
achieve national and international recognition, trying to break a new
style of music and performance into an industry that has a very limited
vision of what can be successful in the mainstream.

You, the fans, have always been the reason for the success we have
achieved. We have come to the realization that this has always been an
underground movement. We are committed to continuing to write music and put
on shows that will never compromise the integrity of the artists or the
fans alike. We believe we can do this as a grass roots underground
movement, and bring the industry to us, instead of the other way around,
but it is only possible with the help of you, the fans.

Today we are reaching out and asking YOU for your help in this
campaign. Together we can can create a movement, one that carries our message
of unity and peace through music, the equality of all humans, regardless
of race, gender, religion or sexual preference, and the appreciation of
all cultures by creating music and shows without boundaries or
limitations.

If you enjoy our shows or records, and believed in our message, please
join us. Now is the time when our message is needed the most. We know
our music isn't mainstream, but we believe it could touch and affect
millions of people in a positive way.

We have a plan to get our message out there. We need a large, and well
organized street team/Internet promotion team of volunteers who will
get our message out there, and let the TV/Radio/Record and Concert
industry know that people want to hear us!

Our administrative team, Steve Z and Lisamari will be organizing a
campaign, utilizing the skills and strengths of all our volunteers for
specific tasks that need to be done.

There will be two levels you can participate in for our team. The 1st
level will be comprised of a hands on task force, meeting with us every
couple weeks for ongoing projects. The 2nd and equally important level,
for those with location, or time limitations, will be for those who can
send out emails or make phone calls when it is needed. This will be a
large, global network of volunteers - the more the better.

To kick this all off, we will be doing a private show for all
interested in becoming part of our team. This show will be our first live
broadcast/pod-cast via the Internet and will be done at Synergy studios in
Redmond, where we did the tracking for our last two CDs. The show will be
on Sunday, September 10th. This shows will be unlike any we’ve done in
the past, as there will be the combined factors of an intimate audience
and the advantages of a modern recording studio.

There will be an opportunity for you to sign up for whatever areas of
promotion that suite you best. This will be the first of a series of
shows dubbed the “Synergy Sessions” broadcast on the net, with the goal of
reaching as many people across the globe as possible. This is just one
of many approaches we will be taking to spread our music and message.

If you would like to be part of our team, and see the first Synergy
show live, contact Lisamari at lisamari@cotrmusic.com. As this is a
recording studio, there will be a very limited capacity, so sign up now! If
you do not make it to this one, you can still sign up to help, and will
be on the list for the next session. For those of you not in the area -
stay tuned - there will be plenty of other perks for being part of the
team!

Once again, we would like to thank all of you for being part of the
Revolution! -COTR

ps- the lisamari@cotrmusic.com email address bounces back.
they need a little tech help? ...they need a little journalistic
help, and they need a lot of revolutionary help. hop on the
bandwagon with me. we're off to a new paradigm. we're not
out to solve problems in the world -- we're out to seek opportunity!
... to sing and dance with the moon and the stars.

there is SO MUCH opportunity for unity, peace and equality
today - the heart of the world aches for it.

music and dance is the language.

it's a no-brainer. <g>

Tigers get to see another pitcher, but need Ordonez to step up

NEW YORK -- Andrew Miller arrives on the scene tonight, giving the Detroit Tigers yet another pitcher who might just throw 100 mph.

"Everybody throws 96 or 97,'' Kenny Rogers said. "Except for me.''

Miller's a great story, the 21-year-old kid fresh out of the College World Series now trying to help the Tigers to THE World Series. The kid's so good that the Tigers couldn't wait until September to see him.

Great. Can't wait. Should be fun.

Here's the thing, though. Nothing against guys who throw 100, but what the Tigers really need now is a guy who drives in 100.

Nothing against Miller, who we all can't wait to see, but the guy the Tigers really can't wait for is Magglio Ordonez.

Not the Ordonez who has more strikeouts than RBIs since the All-Star break. Not the Ordonez who has as many infield hits as home runs since the break.

What they need is the guy who could be counted on for 30 home runs and 110-120 RBIs, the guy so good the Tigers guaranteed him $75 million over five years even though he was coming off knee surgery.

Ordonez's first-half numbers -- a .312 batting average, 16 home runs and 62 RBIs in 83 games -- were perfectly acceptable. He wasn't leading the league in any category, but he was a threat. He would have even made it onto some most valuable player ballots, because he was a big part of the team with the best record in baseball.

The Tigers still have the best record in the game, four games ahead of the Yankee team they'll meet tonight, but Ordonez's numbers since the break -- .242, one home run, 22 RBIs -- are more Travis Lee than David Ortiz.

Think about it, as you listen to the Yankee Stadium fans chant "M-V-P! M-V-P!'' every time Derek Jeter comes to the plate tonight. Do the Tigers have anyone who should even appear on the 10-man MVP ballot?

Ordonez, their leading run producer, is tied with Pedro Feliz and Michael Young for 33rd in the majors in RBIs. Marcus Thames, their home run leader, doesn't even play every day.

Pudge Rodriguez, their one certain future Hall of Famer, has the same number of RBIs since the break as Ordonez and had to be moved out of the third spot in the batting order. Carlos Guillen might be the Tigers' best player, but he's tied for the league lead in errors.

You can understand what manager Jim Leyland was thinking when he gave his "Step it up'' speech the other night in Cleveland.

Leyland included everyone, from the manager all the way to the trainers. Leyland was absolutely right, as usual, and absolutely diplomatic, as well.

Because when it comes right down to it, this isn't about trainer Kevin Rand doing his job better. It isn't even about Leyland doing his job better.

This is about the players, and especially the star players.

The Tigers are paying Rodriguez $11 million this year, and they're paying Ordonez $15 million.

They're not paying him to win a gold glove in right field (he won't, but he's not as bad as you've heard elsewhere). They're not paying him for his baserunning (he's slow, but usually not mistake-prone).

He's here to drive in runs. He's here to be for the Tigers what Ortiz is for the Red Sox, what Jason Giambi is for the Yankees, what Jermaine Dye is for the White Sox and what Justin Morneau has become for the Twins.

Every good team has one, a hitter the opponent never wants to see come up with runners on base. Ordonez has to get back to being that for the Tigers.

The Tigers can't wait.
