I failed to mention solar as a viable means to produce electricity..

Previously, I was not an advocate of it since the materials and geographical areas required to generate significant electricity would have always left it uncompetitive (metals, wiring, enery use from manufacturing them.. etc, etc).

However, NanoSolar might just have cracked the barriers to market viability and bringing the cost down for solar generation.

If they are successful, which I think they will likely be, then the cost of their solar panels will make it cost effective to incorporate them onto every house and/or commercial dwelling. And if they occurs, then everyone could have their own hydrogen production plant available at their residence.

And that might just be what is needed to make a Hydrogen economy possible.
