KKP, You claimed Democrats wanted to lose in Iraq. Now prove that or shut the heck up. Don't be childish and quit beating around the bush.

KLP, what makes you think the US has any chance for "victory" in Iraq anymore? It's not about "wanting" victory or defeat. Everyone wants victory, if it were possible, but it's not. This is like Vietnam in 1971. It's a morass, a textbook quagmire occupation amidst a civil war where the occupiers cause just as many problems as they solve, if not more.

There are literally no signs of progress lately and the poor leadership in charge is doing nothing new to try different avenues. Bush doesn't seem to get it. He is stuck in the past and has no new ideas. So he's keeping us there just because he doesn't want to admit he was wrong and inept. So he stays the source, a losing source, a fruitless fool's mission.

Only a mascochist or a terrorist would want us to stay there for long as this is gradually draining our military and our treasury of muscle and money we need for many other more important tasks. Like where were the Guardsmen and Army Angineers during Katrina?

I don't care. I want the US to leave iraq. Doesn't matter to me if the US "wins" or "loses".

I think either outcome is the same for the USA.

We were better off in the world with Saddam Hussein. Going there was a mistake.

There is no winning in Iraq, just damage control. Anyone who thinks we can win in Iraq is a totally ignorant fool or liar.
