MAYBE the thing we should be objecting to is BBQ?????

I'm allergic to fumes from BBQs, just as I am to cigarette smoke. Same difference, IMO. Except for the key fact that BBQs are outdoors where the fumes can dissipate. Nowadays, smoking is done outdoors, too. Makes sense to me.

I don't think you read me right. You can smoke like a chimney (and I don't care what you smoke), as long as you don't do it around other people in public places that belong to all of us. I'm not for people smoking pot in public places either. I don't think people should be able to do behaviors that affect others in public places. I don't think people should be wearing horrible amounts of perfume in public places, or spitting on other people, or peeing on the sidewalks that we all walk on. Basically I'm just talking about manners- but because many people seem to have lost the art of being mannerly, I think the law needs to step in.

I don't eat BBQ for that very reason- I'm not super interested in carcinogens in my body- but since people usually grill at home, and don't walk around with their BBQ's wafting the smoke on passersby, I don't worry about it. If people start taking their grills to public places I will object.

we should be objecting to burning in fireplaces in homes. open burning of trash, opening burning of leaves, gas lawnmowers,
