If you were to imagine both of them equally far down the path, at the far end of the path, I don't think you would find the threat significantly different. If we start a war with Iran, reinstate the draft, squander the Treasury, ruin the airline industry and become even more of a global pariah, all of which are a logical continuation of our present WOT policies, I think you might see a difference. I don't see the WOD changing for the worse, as we seem to have lost the stomach for it.
