Good question. Similar to Israel catching flack using cluster bombs but Hezbollah using katyusha rockets packed with ball bearings gets a free pass.

<why don't they count?> They do count -- and those responsible for killing them should be held accountable. However, we did not kill them. These are not our atrocities -- they belong to somebody else. We helped to kill other people. We need to hold ourselves accountable for the atrocities we enabled before we can expect to hold anybody else accountable. That means holding Israel accountable for its atrocities must be our first step towards broader accountability.
