It is becoming totally obvious to me that national leaders are trying to make illegal decisions. They should be held accountable for these decisions by international courts.

Absolutely concur. There are processes for re-negotiating contracts and royalty/tax payments.

But the initial terms of the contract that was part of the risk/reward factor for the investors from those oil companies should be honored.

And this should be the case with regard to all development and investment projects.

And in such cases, the US government SHOULD take harsh actions when another government attempts to use nationalization as a method of stealing from those investors.

"It is becoming totally obvious to me that national leaders are trying to make illegal decisions. They should be held accountable for these decisions by international courts. These leaders are no different than the CEO's we are sending to prison. I hate to see the leaders play this game of nationalism. It's going to backfire bigtime."

Hmmm. You know who comes to mind when I read these statements? Our own chimp Caesar! He doesn't believe international law APPLIES to HIM! Why should OTHER world leaders be any different?
