Koan (and I with my ngx experience) has pointed out that even o/m warrants approaching expiry offer leverage and often it is attractive leverage. The probability of pay-off may be small, but the price is small too.

Whenever they are purchased, warrants provide the right to buy the stock at a specific price. If they expire worthless it only means that one can buy the stock at an even lower price. Sounds OK to me; why complain ? (Just don't bargain to buy more stock than you really want to own).
