I can't understand why Mary called Bob Brinker for advice in the first place. The last time she followed his advice she purchased the QQQ's and she is currently out $43.500. It is obvious that Brinker's opinion on this trade/investment was wrong then. what makes her think his opinion now would be any better.

If I had to guess, I'd say perhaps Mary and company did very well following Brinker's advice, except for the Qs. And if they didn't jump into that over their heads then they're still doing better following his advice (IF that's what they did) than if they hadn't. Just guessing. I know if I had $3M I wouldn't have put anything like $100K into the Qs or any one thing. I know the Qs are not one thing, but still I wouldn't do it. (If I had any idea what $3M would feel like.)

You're asking me to tell you why someone else does or did something? I don't pretend to know why someone does something (most of the time) as some people do. I have enough trouble figuring out why *I* do or did something!
